Originally released in 1989, the New Balance 1500 wears its running DNA deep inside. As part of a bigger lineup, the 1500 was designed by Steven F. Smith, one of New Balance’s true design OGs. The streamlined silhouette was released at the perfect time when casual runners transitioned to become better and better at exercising. With many different versions out there, the New Balance 1500 has been produced in Flimby, New Balance’s UK base, or in the United States. On top of that, many collaborators have worked on the legendary design, reimagining the upper in several colorways and fabrics. Today, the series of 1500s has been extended to a wide range of lifestyle kicks.
