The Nike Air Footscape can easily be called one of the most technical shoes from the 90`s. Nike went far and beyond with its Sports Research Lab and Advanced Product Engineering group to create something new. Toren Orzeck the man behind the design of this shoe from 1996, also responsible for out-of-the-ordinary silhouettes like the Air Moc, felt a shoe is needed that shows the anatomical shape of the foot, a form-fitting shoe so to speak.  To relieve stress from the dorsal area of the foot, Toren came up with the idea to implement an asymmetrical lacing system. From this point on, the original Nike Air Footscape served as model for many alterations to come, such as the Nike Air Footscape 2 Presto or Woven Chukka and many collaborations later, such as with Fragment Design, it’s now time for this Footscape Woven Chukka, first released in 2006. The black / grey hairy suede upper comes combined with black leather panels and signature woven detailing on the side. The white midsole is made from lightweight foam, while the front and back of the outsole come in a black rubber.
