For their latest collection, Carhartt honors The Village Cry, an outlet for art and music published by Swiss photographer Beat Presser. Inspired by the way in which cultural tendencies transcend national borders, he named it THE VILLAGE CRY — a tribute to Marshall McLuhan’s ‘Global Village’ concept. One of the core ideas of BP was to include photography, film, design, architecture, short stories, interviews, opinions and much more. But photography would be their language. The Village Cry was published 7 times between 1976-1978 (with one last issue in 1982 under a different name) and this Carhartt x TVC collection pays homage to their work.

The hoodie Paris sweatshirt features a The Village Cru chest print as well as a big one on the bag reading “Paris is coming to the village”.
